Hagastrand Press Kit
By the waters of Brunnsviken, surrounded by the greenery of the Royal Haga Park and close to Stockholm city, lies Hagastrand – a social destination where Nordic traditions meet modern wellbeing.
More than a hotel, Hagastrand is a place for movement and stillness, shared experiences and time to yourself. Nature is ever-present, from the water just outside to the changing seasons that shape life throughout the destination.
At its heart is Hagastrand Spa, where contrasts between heat and cold, movement and rest create a rhythm for recovery and new energy. Sauna sessions, classes and treatments make room for both stillness and connection.
At Restaurant Njord, Nordic ingredients meet global influences in a kitchen guided by the seasons, while Hagastrand’s flexible meeting rooms and generous social spaces set the stage for conferences, celebrations, weddings and events.
A destination to reconnect with the body, nature and each other – and a place to return to.

Hagastrand Spa
Hagastrand Spa is not a journey with a fixed path. It is an experience to shape for yourself.
Move between social spaces and quieter environments for recovery. Explore heat and cold, movement and rest, stillness and sound – with Haga Park and Brunnsviken just outside.
The spa brings together an 18-metre pool, hammam, herbal sauna, Nordic sauna and snow room with guided sauna sessions, treatments, movement classes and experiences shaped by sound, light and frequencies.
Follow a guided experience or move through the spa at your own pace. Spend time together or turn your attention inwards. There is no single way to experience Hagastrand Spa.
Social Wellness
A place for connection, conversation and time together.
Social Wellness is where the spa experience can begin, end or simply pause for a while. Eat or drink something, listen to music, play, talk or take in the atmosphere. Sink into the pool and experience music beneath the surface, or settle in before the next sauna session.
It is a relaxed and social space where wellbeing is something that can be shared.
Thermal Wellness
Thermal Wellness is dedicated to the contrast between heat, cold, rest and recovery.
Move between the hammam, herbal sauna, Nordic sauna and snow room, allowing time to rest along the way. There is a recommended sequence for those who want guidance, but nothing that has to be followed. Stay where it feels right and let the body set the pace.
Guided Experiences
Guided sauna sessions are a central part of the Hagastrand Spa experience. Led by experienced Sauna Masters, the sessions explore the interplay between heat, scent, sound and temperature, creating experiences that can be both energising and deeply restorative.
The spa also offers movement and wellbeing classes alongside treatments designed to complement time spent throughout the spa.
The Private Spa Suite
A private world for up to 25 guests.
The Spa Suite offers a secluded setting for private experiences – from executive groups and smaller meetings to celebrations, bridal showers and time together with friends.
Guests have their own changing room, lounge, sauna and steam room, with the possibility to experience contrast therapy. The stay can be tailored with treatments, guided sessions, classes, food and drinks.
Food and Drinks
Nordic ingredients. Global influences.
At Hagastrand, food and drink are a reason to visit in their own right.
From breakfast and spontaneous lunches to dinner by Brunnsviken, a drink by the water or something light between spa experiences, the restaurants are open to hotel guests, spa visitors and those simply coming for the food.
Restaurant Njord and the Spa Lounge welcome guests throughout the year, while Eira opens for the summer season. Each has its own character, connected by the place, the seasons and a balance between pleasure and wellbeing.
Restaurant Njord
At Njord, Nordic ingredients meet global influences in a kitchen that moves with the seasons. Forest, sea and soil set the tone, paired with Nordic cooking techniques and a curious outlook towards the wider world.
Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or settle in for a long evening overlooking Brunnsviken.
Spa Lounge
The Spa Lounge is a place to land between the different experiences of Hagastrand Spa.
The menu offers lighter dishes, snacks and drinks for moments when the body needs something in between – from juices and teas to a glass of champagne. A relaxed extension of the spa, with time to eat, drink and simply be.
Eira
Set above Brunnsviken and the Haga Park jetty, Eira is Hagastrand’s summer restaurant – made for lunches, spontaneous stops and long evenings outdoors.
The grill takes centre stage, with fish, meat and seafood cooked over open fire, generous sides and dishes made for sharing. The bar serves spritzes, bubbles, cocktails and cold beer, while live music, kubb and cornhole add to Eira’s relaxed and playful summer atmosphere.
Arrive through the park by bike, stop for a drink or stay as the grill is lit and the evening takes over.
Meetings & Events
Hagastrand is a destination for meetings, conferences and events, with 13 flexible meeting rooms accommodating groups from 25 to 400 guests, including a spacious conference hall and generous areas for larger gatherings.
Advanced conference technology and personal service create the conditions for productive days, while the surrounding nature makes it easy to combine work with social experiences and wellbeing.
With Haga Park and Brunnsviken outside, Hagastrand offers a setting designed for focus, new perspectives and meaningful time together.
Celebrations & Weddings
From intimate gatherings to weddings, launches and large-scale events, Hagastrand offers flexible spaces for different ways of coming together.
Generous social areas, modern technology and the surrounding landscape provide a natural framework for each occasion. Food and drink follow the seasons, while the team works closely with every group to shape the experience around the people and the reason for gathering.
Whether the occasion calls for a private dinner, a celebration that moves through several spaces or a full destination experience combining food, spa and an overnight stay, Hagastrand brings it together in one place.
Location
Hagastrand sits directly by Brunnsviken, surrounded by the greenery of the Royal Haga Park.
The setting feels close to nature while remaining close to central Stockholm, with convenient connections to both the city and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
About Nobis Hospitality Group
Alessandro Catenacci is the driving force behind many of Stockholm’s top restaurants, nightclubs and hotels. His Italian name may reveal his Roman origins, but a distinctly Scandinavian sense of luxury is obvious in everything Catenacci does. Most of all he hopes to offer guests places where they can feel as comfortable and humbly selfassured as he is. “I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and think, ‘Am I really good at anything, or was it just luck’?”
Back in 1987, Catenacci bought the Stockholm-based restaurant empire belonging to Scandinavian culinary great Tore Wretman - including Café Opera, Operakällaren, the Riche, and Stallmästaregården. This savvy purchase became the launching point for what now includes seven top-tier hotels in addition to the restaurants and nightspots. Catenacci’s ease makes his success look as if luck were indeed a factor, but it is actually the result of a long-term vision, hard work, and an intuitive business sense.
His company, the Nobis Group, has grown consistently over the more than two decades that have passed since that smart deal was made. The conglomerate’s philosophy, in many ways, combines the best of Catenacci’s Italian heritage - a heady approach to fine food and a keen eye for quality - and the utmost in Scandinavian understatement.
