J's Terrace
With sweeping views of Stockholm’s inner archipelago, the Terrace sets the stage for unforgettable moments under the open sky. Beside the charming Tornvillan it blends airy elegance with an intimate atmosphere - framed by sea and nature. Awning, wind protection and heating ensure every gathering is as seamless as it is memorable.
J's Garden House
The Garden House offers a secluded, exclusive atmosphere with accommodation and event spaces, including a preparation kitchen, under the same roof - surrounded by nature, a private garden and a breathtaking sea view.
J's Tornvilla
Tornvillan is a seven-story seaside villa carrying centuries of history, surrounded by the sea and pine trees. A historical place where every moment feels timeless. Tornvillan offers conference and meeting rooms by the waterfront, with a beautiful mix of the original features of a late 19th-century Swedish summer mansion. Such as tiled stoves and a magnificent porch - combined with interior design in the relaxed and comfortable style of the urban archipelago.
The villa was built in 1889 by the building contractor Erik Fredlundh, who had made a fortune through his construction projects in Stockholm. J’s Tornvilla was his prestigious summer residence, with over twenty rooms and three kitchens. Two World Wars came and went, the residence changed owners and was eventually turned into housing for several families.
Unique seaside dining experiences
The Terrace
During the summer season à la carte dining is served on the Terrace, offering an unrivalled view and the finest local ingredients. Here we serve carefully crafted dishes with distinctly Swedish flavours, herbs from our own garden and seasonal produce from both sea and land. The menu is guided by a passion for simplicity and authenticity, where seasonality shapes the entire experience - and summer tastes its very best.
Restaurant J
Just a stone’s throw from the hotel lies Restaurant J, open year-round. Its cuisine is firmly rooted in the Scandinavian tradition, complemented by subtle international influences. Seasonal treasures from sea and land are prepared with love and passion - simple, yet first-class.
About Nobis Hospitality Group
Alessandro Catenacci is the driving force behind many of Stockholm’s top restaurants, nightclubs and hotels. His Italian name may reveal his Roman origins, but a distinctly Scandinavian sense of luxury is obvious in everything Catenacci does. Most of all he hopes to offer guests places where they can feel as comfortable and humbly selfassured as he is. “I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and think, ‘Am I really good at anything, or was it just luck’?”
Back in 1987, Catenacci bought the Stockholm-based restaurant empire belonging to Scandinavian culinary great Tore Wretman - including Café Opera, Operakällaren, the Riche, and Stallmästaregården. This savvy purchase became the launching point for what now includes seven top-tier hotels in addition to the restaurants and nightspots. Catenacci’s ease makes his success look as if luck were indeed a factor, but it is actually the result of a long-term vision, hard work, and an intuitive business sense.
His company, the Nobis Group, has grown consistently over the more than two decades that have passed since that smart deal was made. The conglomerate’s philosophy, in many ways, combines the best of Catenacci’s Italian heritage - a heady approach to fine food and a keen eye for quality - and the utmost in Scandinavian understatement.
