Hagastrand Press Kit
On the shores of Brunnsviken, surrounded by the greenery of the Royal Haga Park and close to Stockholm city centre, lies Hagastrand – a social destination where Nordic traditions meet modern wellbeing.
More than just a hotel, Hagastrand is a place for movement and tranquillity, shared experiences and time for yourself. Nature is ever-present, from the water just outside to the changing seasons that shape life throughout the destination.
At its heart is Hagastrand Spa, where contrasts between heat and cold, movement and rest create a rhythm for recovery and renewed energy. Sauna sessions, classes and treatments provide space for both tranquillity and connection.
At Restaurant Njord, Nordic ingredients meet global influences in a kitchen guided by the seasons, whilst Hagastrand’s flexible meeting rooms and spacious social areas set the scene for conferences, celebrations, weddings and events.
A destination to reconnect with the body, nature and one another – and a place to return to.

Hagastrand Spa
Hagastrand Spa is not a journey with a set route. It is an experience you can shape for yourself.
Move between social spaces and quieter environments to recharge. Explore heat and cold, movement and rest, stillness and sound – with Haga Park and Brunnsviken right on your doorstep.
The spa features an 18-metre pool, a hammam, a herbal sauna, a Nordic sauna and a snow room, alongside guided sauna sessions, treatments, exercise classes and experiences shaped by sound, light and frequencies.
Follow a guided experience or explore the spa at your own pace. Spend time together or turn your attention inwards. There is no single way to experience Hagastrand Spa.
Social Wellness
A place for connection, conversation and time together.
Social Wellness is where the spa experience can begin, end or simply pause for a while. Have a bite to eat or a drink, listen to music, play, chat or simply soak up the atmosphere. Sink into the pool and experience music beneath the surface, or settle in before your next sauna session.
It is a relaxed and social space where wellbeing is something to be shared.
Thermal Wellness
Thermal Wellness is dedicated to the contrast between heat, cold, rest and recovery.
Move between the hammam, herbal sauna, Nordic sauna and snow room, taking time to rest along the way. There is a recommended sequence for those seeking guidance, but nothing that has to be followed. Stay where it feels right and let your body set the pace.
Guided Experiences
Guided sauna sessions are a central part of the Hagastrand Spa experience. Led by experienced Sauna Masters, the sessions explore the interplay between heat, scent, sound and temperature, creating experiences that can be both energising and deeply restorative.
The spa also offers movement and wellbeing classes alongside treatments designed to complement your time spent throughout the spa.
The Private Spa Suite
A private retreat for up to 25 guests.
The Spa Suite offers a secluded setting for private experiences – from executive groups and smaller meetings to celebrations, bridal showers and time spent with friends.
Guests have their own changing room, lounge, sauna and steam room, with the option to experience contrast therapy. The stay can be tailored to include treatments, guided sessions, classes, food and drinks.
Food and Drinks
Nordic ingredients. Global influences.
At Hagastrand, food and drink are a reason to visit in their own right.
From breakfast and impromptu lunches to dinner by Brunnsviken, a drink by the water or a light bite between spa treatments, the restaurants are open to hotel guests, spa visitors and those simply coming for the food.
Restaurant Njord and the Spa Lounge welcome guests all year round, whilst Eira opens for the summer season. Each has its own character, linked by the setting, the seasons and a balance between pleasure and wellbeing.
Restaurant Njord
At Njord, Nordic ingredients meet global influences in a kitchen that evolves with the seasons. Forest, sea and soil set the tone, paired with Nordic cooking techniques and a curious outlook towards the wider world.
Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or settle in for a long evening overlooking Brunnsviken.
Spa Lounge
The Spa Lounge is a place to take a breather between the various experiences at Hagastrand Spa.
The menu offers lighter dishes, snacks and drinks for those moments when the body needs a little something – from juices and teas to a glass of champagne. A relaxed extension of the spa, where you can take your time to eat, drink and simply be.
Eira
Perched above Brunnsviken and the Haga Park jetty, Eira is Hagastrand’s summer restaurant – perfect for lunches, spontaneous stops and long evenings al fresco.
The grill takes centre stage, with fish, meat and seafood cooked over an open fire, generous sides and dishes designed for sharing. The bar serves spritzes, sparkling wines, cocktails and cold beer, whilst live music, kubb and cornhole add to Eira’s relaxed and playful summer atmosphere.
Cycle through the park to get there, stop for a drink or stay as the grill is lit and the evening takes over.
Meetings & Events
Hagastrand is a destination for meetings, conferences and events, with 13 flexible meeting rooms accommodating groups of between 25 and 400 guests, including a spacious conference hall and generous areas for larger gatherings.
State-of-the-art conference technology and personalised service create the ideal conditions for productive days, whilst the surrounding natural surroundings make it easy to combine work with social experiences and wellbeing.
With Haga Park and Brunnsviken on its doorstep, Hagastrand offers a setting designed to foster focus, new perspectives and meaningful time spent together.
Celebrations & Weddings
From intimate gatherings to weddings, launches and large-scale events, Hagastrand offers flexible spaces for different ways of coming together.
Spacious social areas, modern technology and the surrounding landscape provide a natural backdrop for every occasion. Food and drink reflect the seasons, whilst the team works closely with each group to tailor the experience to the guests and the reason for the gathering.
Whether the occasion calls for a private dinner, a celebration that takes place across several spaces, or a complete destination experience combining food, spa treatments and an overnight stay, Hagastrand brings it all together in one place.
Location
Hagastrand is situated right by Brunnsviken, surrounded by the greenery of the Royal Haga Park.
The setting offers a sense of being close to nature whilst remaining close to central Stockholm, with convenient transport links to both the city and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
About Nobis Hospitality Group
Alessandro Catenacci is the driving force behind many of Stockholm’s top restaurants, nightclubs and hotels. His Italian name may reveal his Roman origins, but a distinctly Scandinavian sense of luxury is evident in everything Catenacci does. Above all, he hopes to offer guests places where they can feel as comfortable and humbly self-assured as he is. “I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and think, ‘Am I really good at anything, or was it just luck’?”
Back in 1987, Catenacci bought the Stockholm-based restaurant empire belonging to the great Scandinavian chef Tore Wretman – including Café Opera, Operakällaren, the Riche and Stallmästaregården. This shrewd acquisition became the springboard for what now comprises seven top-tier hotels, in addition to the restaurants and nightspots. Catenacci’s ease makes his success seem as though luck were indeed a factor, but it is actually the result of a long-term vision, hard work and an intuitive business sense.
His company, the Nobis Group, has grown steadily over the more than two decades that have passed since that shrewd deal was struck. In many ways, the conglomerate’s philosophy combines the best of Catenacci’s Italian heritage – a passionate approach to fine food and a keen eye for quality – with the epitome of Scandinavian understatement.
