Venues
J’s Terrace
With sweeping views of Stockholm’s inner archipelago, the Terrace sets the stage for unforgettable moments under the open sky. Situated beside the charming Tornvillan, it blends airy elegance with an intimate atmosphere – framed by the sea and nature. Awnings, wind protection and heating ensure every gathering is as seamless as it is memorable.
J’s Garden House
The Garden House offers a secluded, exclusive atmosphere with accommodation and event spaces, including a preparation kitchen, all under one roof – surrounded by nature, a private garden and a breathtaking sea view.
J’s Tornvilla
Tornvillan is a seven-storey seaside villa steeped in centuries of history, surrounded by the sea and pine trees. A historic place where every moment feels timeless. Tornvillan offers conference and meeting rooms by the waterfront, featuring a beautiful blend of the original features of a late 19th-century Swedish summer mansion. These include tiled stoves and a magnificent veranda – combined with interior design in the relaxed and comfortable style of the urban archipelago.
The villa was built in 1889 by the building contractor Erik Fredlundh, who had made a fortune through his construction projects in Stockholm. J’s Tornvilla was his prestigious summer residence, with over twenty rooms and three kitchens. Two World Wars came and went; the residence changed hands and was eventually converted into accommodation for several families.
Unique seaside dining experiences
The Terrace
During the summer season, à la carte dining is served on the Terrace, offering unrivalled views and the finest local ingredients. Here we serve carefully crafted dishes with distinctly Swedish flavours, herbs from our own garden and seasonal produce from both sea and land. The menu is guided by a passion for simplicity and authenticity, where seasonality shapes the entire experience – and summer tastes at its very best.
Restaurant J
Just a stone’s throw from the hotel lies Restaurant J, open all year round. Its cuisine is firmly rooted in the Scandinavian tradition, complemented by subtle international influences. Seasonal treasures from the sea and the land are prepared with love and passion – simple, yet first-class.
About Nobis Hospitality Group
Alessandro Catenacci is the driving force behind many of Stockholm’s top restaurants, nightclubs and hotels. His Italian name may reveal his Roman origins, but a distinctly Scandinavian sense of luxury is evident in everything Catenacci does. Above all, he hopes to offer guests places where they can feel as comfortable and humbly self-assured as he is. “I sometimes look at myself in the mirror and think, ‘Am I really good at anything, or was it just luck?’”
Back in 1987, Catenacci bought the Stockholm-based restaurant empire belonging to the great Scandinavian chef Tore Wretman – including Café Opera, Operakällaren, the Riche and Stallmästaregården. This shrewd acquisition became the springboard for what now comprises seven top-tier hotels, in addition to the restaurants and nightspots. Catenacci’s ease makes his success seem as though luck were indeed a factor, but it is in fact the result of a long-term vision, hard work and an intuitive business sense.
His company, the Nobis Group, has grown steadily over the more than two decades that have passed since that shrewd deal was struck. In many ways, the conglomerate’s philosophy combines the best of Catenacci’s Italian heritage – a passionate approach to fine food and a keen eye for quality – with the epitome of Scandinavian understatement.
