Hotel Skeppsholmen nominated in 2010 EDGE Awards
For the fourth time, gay community EDGE presents “The Best of EDGE Awards”, where readers vote for their favorites among the editors’ nominees. Hotel Skeppsholmen is one of six hotels – the only European – to be nominated in the category ”Favorite Luxury Hotel”.
Hotel Skeppsholmen is a ”TAG approved” hotel, selected by The International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA) and is also a member of Stockholm Gay and Lesbian Network who’s working actively to promote Stockholm as a “rainbow capital”.
- Gay people are often considered to be trendsetters when it comes to new destinations, hotels and restaurants, so we are very proud of this nomination and it feels like yet another acknowledgement that our concept is attractive, says Joachim Olausson, MD.
Hotel Skeppsholmen was opened up on 26 October 2009 and has received a number of awards and nominations, including being selected by prestigious Condé Nast Traveller’s at The Hot List 2010.
The voting is in full swing for the Best of EDGE Awards 2010 at http://www.edgenewyork.com/awards#travel, from 18 January to 1 March. The winners will be announced at a grand ceremony in New York in March.
