Nobis Hospitality Group expands presence in Copenhagen
An agreement has been signed between Nobis Hospitality Group and property owner Mogens de Linde for a new hotel in Copenhagen. The new design hotel is located on Holmen, across the water from Nyhavn, and expected to open in winter 2023.
The new hotel will be housed in a 1740’s building designed for the Danish Navy by leading Dutch-Danish architect Philip de Lange. Set in the emerging district of Holmen, Kuglegården is now to be transformed into a 294-room hotel with SPA, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and event venues. This will be the second hotel in the Nobis Hospitality Group Copenhagen portfolio. Five-star Nobis Hotel Copenhagen next to Tivoli is up and running since 2017.
- We see great potential in the Danish market and the location of Holmen in particular. Here you are surrounded by water at the same time as the city pulse is just around your corner. We plan on preserving the cultural value of this historical building together with architects at Wingårdhs. We aim for locals and travellers to be able to enjoy Kuglegården for many years to come, says Andreas Cavallius, Business Developer at Nobis Hospitality Group.
The venue spans over 15 000 square meters and will add great significance to the emerging neighbourhood, where apartment houses, shops and offices are also under development.
